Describe your life before you had Weight Loss Surgery.
In my mind, I felt I was at the weight I am at now. My weight didn’t stop me from doing anything that I was able or wanted to do but it limited me from being able to do things efficiently. My biggest frustration was being tired and taking medications. I did get diabetes as a result of being at a sedentary job. Blood pressure which was always good now started to get high and as a result more medications. I got tired of dependency on medications.

How long were you considering Weight Loss Surgery before you came in?
It took me about two years to go for it. I made appointments with Dr Beltre office and cancelled it. Not sure why I kept putting it off but once I got tired of the endless medications I was on, I got busy talking with others who had their surgery. It gave me more confidence to go ahead and get it done and I felt comfortable doing it. Since I met my deductible and out of pocket for the year for a previous surgery, I decided to do it before the year ended.

What was it like to work with our team?
From the beginning, it felt very comfortable to work with Dr Beltre’s office. From the front desk staff to the nursing staff, nurse practitioner and Dr Beltre and his wife. I would go in and they made you feel comfortable and it was no judgements. I knew I choose the right MD to do my surgery.  The staff makes you feel comfortable and they are commending for milestones you hit whether big or small.

Describe your life now, after Weight Loss Surgery.
I have so much energy now. I am jumping up and down more. Moving more from my desk which is a stand up desk and being able to have a headset that is wireless for work, I move more away from my desk. I am looking very good in my clothes. In my mind before the surgery, this was the body I always had and to now see it today, I am happy with it.
