All pre-operative steps, including medical, nutritional, and psychological evaluations and medical, cardiac, and pulmonary clearances, take place in Orlando, Florida at The Center for Metabolic and Obesity Surgery. Once all pre-operative steps are complete, we will fly to beautiful Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where your surgery will be performed by Dr. Beltre at the state-of-the-art Centro de Medicina Avanzada utilizing the most advanced, US-designed and built laparoscopic and surgical equipment. Dr. Beltre will be assisted by Dr. Abel Gonzalez, an American-trained, experienced bariatric surgeon who, like Dr. Beltre, specializes in cutting-edge laparoscopic metabolic surgeries, while the warm, experienced staff will provide you with the best care at every stage of your surgery, from initial in-hospital consultations to all necessary post-operative care and immediate follow-up visits.
