Describe your life before you had Weight Loss Surgery.

Before surgery, I experienced pain all over, especially in my knees and back. It limited my ability to be on my feet for any length of time. Professionally, being a firearms instructor, it prevented me from providing quality training at the range. I had to rely on my other instructors much more than I should have. Personally, it strained my relationship as it limited the activities my wife and I could do together. This caused us to spend many lazy weekends on the couch instead of enjoying our lives.

How long were you considering Weight Loss Surgery before you came in?

I actually came in for a consultation to support my wife initially. Being at 530lbs, I hadn’t been able to weigh myself in years. Seeing that number really blew my mind, and it was the final push I needed to consider surgery.

What was it like to work with our team?

The entire team was incredibly helpful and took the time to fully explain every step. The support and care I received were nothing short of amazing.

Describe your life now, after Weight Loss Surgery.

I recently reached my one-year post-surgery milestone and I have lost 185lbs. My pain has almost completely disappeared, and I sleep and breathe better. I am now able to be on my feet and perform at a level I haven’t reached since high school. The most significant change is the confidence I have in being able to have much more fun with my first child, who is due to be born next month. His arrival probably wouldn’t have been possible without the weight loss.
